Vashon Buddhist Seminar, September 2008

This year’s Vashon Buddhist Seminar featured Dr. Paula Arai, professor at
Louisiana State University, who presented “Living Zen: Gratitude, Empowerment, and Healing”
The event took place at David Smith’s Chinese House
and included sitting and chanting in the elegant Kudus House.
Professor Arai used the morning to tell us about her findings and in the afternoon participants broke into groups to imagine rituals around important aspects of life. Fifty people attended the day.
